Concessions map – the green one is our gold concession
Geologic Map
LOCATION: The Puma & Eagle Gold Project area are located within the state of Paraná in southern Brazil. The target area lies in a moderately mountainous and forest terrain approximately 15 kilometers directly northwest of the regional town of Campo Largo.
TOPOGRAPHIC RELIEF: The maximum vertical elevation from local stream bottom to ridge top in the concession area is roughly 195 meters (covering an interval from approximately 685 to 880 meters above sea level).
REGIONAL GEOLOGY: The Puma & Eagle Gold Project area is underlain by a highly weathered sequence of Precambrian Neo proterozoic meta sedimentary and granitic body, the Passa Três Granite. These geologic formations are similar to the adjacent Gold Mining Company Positioned at the Frontier mine, which is developed on an epigenetic, mesozonal, quartz vein hosted gold ore body. The mine’s quartz veins are known to locally contain significant amounts of sulfide mineralization (pyrite and chalcopyrite). Mineralized schist’s: Huge surface bodies of mineralized schist overlain all granitic bodies, with significant gold grade. Mineralized Graphite Schists: Big Dikes of Mineralized Graphite Schists are crossing the entire concession. The similarity of this schist with the schists from RTZ in Paracatu, Minas Gerais is evident.
INFRASTRUCTURE: The Puma & Eagle Gold Project are located in an area with a very well developed regional infrastructure for a new South American startup mining project. The exploration site is within about 1.5 to 2 kilometers of a major hard surface/ concrete, two lane highway used by a major Brazilian cement producer for its limestone quarry haul road to their company’s cement plant located immediately west of Campo Largo.
POWER SOURCES: Major power transmission lines of various sizes cross or are located near the property. Several small rivers in the region are possible sources of industrial water for use by new mining and ore processing development projects (Açungui River, etc).
SAMPLING PROGRAM: Frontier Mining do Brasil initiated a 2 years, first-pass rock sampling program at the Puma/ Eagle property in order to advance this early stage exploration prospect to the next level of evaluation. The exploration effort recover trenching made by old primitives mining operations, sizing and assaying existents quartz veining and discovering others. A total of 100 surface veining positions was mapped, as well as the huge ore bodies. One year ago, Frontier detected mineralization of schist and after several laboratory assays, a pilot program was developed to process these kinds of material. The mineralization of schist formations are over 6 to 20 g/gold/ton. Several underlain quartz veins are over 100 g/gold/ton and must be processed separately

FIELD WORK RESULTS: Preliminary field observations indicate that 6 basic ore types should be expected at the Frontier Mining Puma prospect: an upper weathered horizon (oxidized zone) ore with free gold/native gold and an underlying an oxidized gold ore (sulfide rich ore - containing pyrite and chalcopyrite). These two totally different ore types will required a different ore processing methods. So, a new processing equipment was developed for that matter.
GOLD RESERVES: Based at surface materials, mineralized schist, graphite schist, surface ore bodies, mined surface veins, news surface gold veins, and several gold assays, a preliminary estimated gold reserves are minimum 1000 Tons/Gold.
An extensive exploration program, which includes a substantial core drilling component, will be necessary to advance the Frontier Mining property beyond the gold occurrence/pilot program stage. |
